Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and worne.ink ("we", "us"). They cover the worne.ink website, the artist console and the worne.ink iOS app (together, "worne.ink"). By creating an account or using worne.ink, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use worne.ink.
1. Who can use worne.ink
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, request a tattoo or sell one. You can preview designs without an account.
Your account is one account everywhere: the same sign-in works in the app, on the website and in the artist console. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What worne.ink is
worne.ink lets you place tattoo designs on a 3D body, see how they would sit, and request and book a tattoo with an independent artist.
We do not tattoo anyone. Every tattoo is a service between the client and the artist. The artist decides whether to take on a piece, sets the price and does the work. The artist is responsible for their studio, their licences and permits, their hygiene, and the work itself. Tell your artist about anything that affects your safety, such as allergies, medications or skin conditions, before your session.
Previews and AI renders are illustrations. They show roughly how a design could look, not a promise of how a finished or healed tattoo will look.
3. Requests, quotes and deposits
A client sends a request. The artist answers with a quote: a price, a session length and a time, or a request for other times. Paying the deposit accepts the quote and books the session.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. A booking fee is added on top of the deposit and is shown before you pay. The rest of the price is settled with the artist at the session, unless the app says otherwise.
Deposits are not refunded through worne.ink. If a session is cancelled, any refund is between the client and the artist.
4. Artists
If you sell through worne.ink, you confirm that:
- you are legally allowed to tattoo where you work, and you hold the licences and permits that requires;
- what you publish (your designs, prices, availability and studio details) is accurate and yours to publish;
- you are an independent business, not our employee or agent, and you are responsible for your own taxes.
You receive payments through Stripe Connect. Stripe verifies your identity and pays you out, under Stripe's Connected Account Agreement, which you accept when you set up payouts.
5. Your content, and what you allow us and others to do with it
You keep ownership of what you upload: artwork, designs, photos, project names and text.
You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and adapt your content as needed to run worne.ink. For example, we use it to render previews and thumbnails, show your storefront, and send your request to an artist.
If you are an artist, you also agree that:
- anyone may preview the artwork you publish on a body in worne.ink;
- once a client has a booked and paid session for a piece of yours, they receive a permanent, non-exclusive, personal licence to keep, view and place their own copy of that artwork for their own tattoo. This continues if you later remove the artwork, leave worne.ink or delete your account. It does not let them sell, publish or license the artwork to anyone else;
- artwork already on a client's records keeps showing there after you remove it or delete your account, without your name.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
6. What you must not do
Do not:
- break the law, or use worne.ink to help anyone else break it;
- upload content you do not have the rights to, or content that is hateful, harassing, sexual involving minors, or otherwise unlawful;
- pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent your work or qualifications;
- copy, scrape or extract the 3D bodies, the software or other people's content, or try to get around any security or limit;
- interfere with worne.ink or anyone else's use of it.
7. Our part
The 3D bodies, the software, the website and the app are ours or licensed to us. You may use them only through worne.ink, for their intended purpose.
Some features use third-party AI providers, such as AI renders and "Add my tattoo". Their results can be imperfect, and features that cost credits say so before you use them.
We may change, pause or stop parts of worne.ink. If a change takes away something you have paid for, we will tell you what happens to it.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or on the website (your account menu). Deleting removes it everywhere: the app, the website and the artist console.
You cannot delete your account while you have an open request or quote, or a booked session that has not happened yet. Cancel or finish them first. What deletion removes and what it keeps is explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the law requires it.
9. Disclaimers
worne.ink is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that worne.ink will always be available or error-free, or that a preview will match a finished tattoo.
10. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill;
- we are not liable for the tattoo work itself, which is the artist's;
- our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to worne.ink in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using worne.ink after that, you accept the new terms.
