Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains what worne.ink ("we", "us") collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the worne.ink website, the artist console and the worne.ink iOS app.
The short version
- You never need a photo of yourself to preview or book a tattoo. The preview and our AI renders use a 3D body, not a picture of you.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
- You can delete your account at any time, from the app or the website.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address, your name, how you sign in (email, Apple or Google), and, if you add them, a phone number and a profile photo.
Your previews. The body you choose, the height you set, your saved layouts and projects, and the artwork you upload.
Photos you choose to upload. If you use "Add my tattoo", the photo of your existing tattoo is used to extract the artwork, and we do not keep the photo afterwards.
Your bookings. Your requests, the artist's quotes, session times, notes the artist records about a session, and payment records (amounts, fees and status). Card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
If you are an artist. Your storefront (shop name, handle, bio, social links and portfolio), your studio address (looked up through Google), your availability, and your payout account. Stripe collects and verifies the identity details needed to pay you.
How you use worne.ink. Product analytics (which pages and features are used), error reports, and technical details such as your IP address, which we use for security and to limit abuse.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- run worne.ink: previews, renders, storefronts, requests and bookings;
- take payments and pay artists;
- send you emails about your account and bookings;
- keep worne.ink secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
- understand how worne.ink is used, so we can improve it;
- meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
The person you book with. When you send a request, the artist sees your name, your contact email, your layout and your requests. A client sees the artist's storefront and studio details.
The services that run worne.ink for us, only as needed for their job:
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Sign-in, database and file storage |
| Vercel | Hosts the website |
| Railway | Hosts our server |
| Stripe | Payments and artist payouts |
| AI renders and "Add my tattoo" (Gemini), and studio address lookup | |
| Replicate | Backup AI image provider |
| PostHog | Product analytics |
| Sentry | Error reports |
| Resend | Sends our emails |
| Apple and Google | Sign in with Apple and Google, if you use them |
AI providers. A render sends the provider a picture of the 3D body with your design on it, never a photo of you. We delete these inputs from our storage once the render is done. "Add my tattoo" sends the photo you choose. Each provider processes images under its own terms and keeps them for its own retention period, which we cannot shorten.
When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety or our rights.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. Render inputs are deleted once a render finishes, and "Add my tattoo" photos are not stored. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or on the website (your account menu). It deletes your account everywhere: the app, the website and the artist console. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to disconnect worne.ink from your Apple ID.
You cannot delete your account while you have an open request or quote, or a booked session that has not happened yet. Cancel or finish them first.
What is deleted: your account and sign-in, your name, email, phone and photo, your saved layouts and projects that no artist received, your uploaded artwork that is not on anyone else's records, your renders, your notifications, and, for artists, your storefront, portfolio, availability and studio details. Your analytics history is deleted too.
What is kept, without your name:
- projects and bookings an artist received from you stay in the artist's records as "Deleted user", including the layout and the sessions;
- payment records are kept as the law requires;
- if you are an artist, artwork already on a client's records keeps showing there without your name, and a client who paid for a session keeps their own copy of the artwork, as our Terms of Service explain.
What is beyond our reach: copies in our backups until they are replaced in the normal cycle, copies kept by AI providers under their own retention, emails already sent to you, and error logs until they expire. Deleting your analytics history runs in the background and can take a few days.
We email you once to confirm the deletion. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To use any of these rights, email hello@worne.ink. We will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
worne.ink is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security and where your data is held
We protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls, and we limit who can reach it. Our providers store data in the United States. If you use worne.ink from elsewhere, your information is transferred there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
